PEMBROKE/Morning accident sends two people to area hospitals

A two vehicle accident on Rt. 77 about 7:30a.m. Friday morning has sent two people to area hospitals.

According to a Deputy on scene, a car heading northbound on Rt. 77 was attempting to turn onto the thruway and pulled in front of a southbound SUV, the two vehicle collided in a t-bone accident.

Emergency crews responded for one driver who was in and out of consciousness after the crash. That person, the driver of the SUV, was sent to ECMC via Mercy Flight with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the car suffered minor injuries and was sent to UMMC.

Deputies say the driver of the car will be ticketed for failure to yield.

UPDATE: The driver of the car is Jennifer L. Say, 44, of Corfu. The driver of the SUV is Susan L. Squires, 52, of Medina.
