WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Castile man facing an aggravated family offense charge for the second time

Christopher Volk, 22, of Castile, was arrested following a domestic incident on Toolhouse Road in the Town of Warsaw on January 16, 2017.

Volk is accused of taking a cell phone out of the victim’s hand and taking it to a remote location near the residence.

An order of protection was in place at the time protecting the victim from Volk.

Volk later returned to the scene when police were on location at which time he was taken into custody.

It was also determined that Volk was convicted of the family offense of assault 3rd in 2015 in connection with another domestic incident.

Volk is charged with grand larceny 4th, criminal contempt 2nd, and aggravated family offense.

He was arraigned in the Town of Warsaw Court where he was remanded to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $1,000.00 cash bail or $2,000.00 bond.

Volk is scheduled to return to the Town of Warsaw Court on February 6, 2017 for further proceedings.
