Salim Selimovic, 60, of Mulberry St, Utica, was stopped on Rt. 77 in Pembroke on January 22, 2017 for allegedly operating a motor vehicle with an obstructed view.
Further investigation revealed that Selimovic was allegedly in possession of 5,000 untaxed cigarettes. Selimovic was charged with unlawful possession of unstamped cigarettes
Also charged was Mirnes Kozarac, 35, of Lansing St., Utica.
Kozarac was found to allegedly be in possession of 2,200 untaxed cigarettes during the traffic stop.
Both were issued appearance tickets and will appear in Pembroke Town Court on February 7, 2017 at 4:30p.m.
