BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Thorpe street woman pours lighter fluid on man and his vehicle

Katrina L. Thigpen, 34, of Thorpe St., Batavia, is charged with harassment 2nd, menacing 3rd and endangering the welfare of a child after a domestic incident that occurred at a residence on Thorpe street on January 23, 2107.

Thigpen allegedly poured lighter fluid on a male victim and his vehicle in an attempt to set him on fire.

Thigpen was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on January 31, 2017.

Thigpen was advised to have her fingerprints and photograph taken at the jail prior to her court appearance.

 

Catherine E. Peet, 58, of Elmwood Ave., Rochester, is charged with criminal mischief 4th, criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use and menacing 2nd after she allegedly damaged two vehicles with a shovel and then threatened a person with the shovel.

Peet was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on February 15, 2017 at 12:30p.m.

Peet’s photograph and fingerprints were collected at the jail.

 

Benito Hernandez-Vega, 36, of E. Main Rd., LeRoy, is charged with moving from a lane unsafely, unlicensed operation, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, possession of a hypodermic instrument and DWAI/drugs/alcohol after he was observed moving from a lane unsafely.

Officers had been attempting to locate Hernandez-Vega’s vehicle after receiving a traffic complaint.

He was issued appearance tickets to appear in City Court.

 

Adam J. Arsenault, 31, of Hutchins St., Batavia, is charged with obstructing governmental administration after an incident on Hutchins street on January 21, 2017.

He was issued an appearance ticket and released.

 

Shah L. Zajic, 40, of Eleanor Pl., Batavia, is charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, driving with a BAC of .18% or more, operating without headlamps and refusal to take a breath test.

Zajic was released on uniform traffic tickets and will appear in City Court on January 31, 2107 at 9:00a.m.

 

Candace M. Sanchez, 51, of Ellicott St., Batavia, is charged with criminal use of drug paraphernalia 2nd and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument after she was allegedly found in possession of a hypodermic instrument and drug paraphernalia by NYS Parole on January 23, 2107.

Sanchez was released and issued an appearance ticket.  She will appear in City Court on January 31, 2017.

 

Kimberly M. Volk, 28, of Hutchins St., Batavia, was arrested on an arrest warrant for failure to appear in City Court after a October 11, 2016 incident.

Volk was arrested on January 22, 2017 on Pearl street, she was arraigned in City Court.

 

Scott T. Lasker, 42, of Harper Rd., Darien, is charged with criminal contempt 2nd after an investigation at a traffic stop where he was in violation of a stay away order of protection.

Lasker was released and issued an appearance ticket. He will appear in City Court on January 31, 2017.

 

Jessica L. Connoly, 38, of Brooklyn Ave., Batavia, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and uninspected motor vehicle(April 2016) after a traffic stop at 55 East Main street on January 20, 2017.

Connoly was operating with an expired inspection sticker and was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana.

She was issued tickets and will appear in City Court on January 31, 2017.
