WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Brooklyn man facing charges after traffic stop

A Brooklyn man is facing numerous charges following a traffic stop during the early afternoon of January 28,2017.

Brent Jno-Jules, 25, was arrested following a traffic stop for speeding, 82mph in a marked 55mph zone, on Route 20a in the Town of Perry.

During the roadside investigation, the odor of marijuana was detected coming from within the vehicle and Jno-Jules was placed through field sobriety testing.

Jno-Jules was subsequently arrested for DWI and transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office for a drug influence evaluation. A certified drug recognition expert determined Jno-Jules to be impaired by cannabis and unable to operate a vehicle safely.

Jno-Jules is charged with speeding, unlawful possession of marijuana, and driving while ability impaired by a drug. He was arraigned in the Town of Perry Court and remanded to the Wyoming County Jail on $300 cash bail or $3000 bond.

Jno-Jules is scheduled to appear in the Town of Perry Court on March 8th, 2017.

Assisting at the scene was Deputy Sampson of the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office and Officer Russell of the Perry Police Department.

 

Gregory Scott, 54, of Perry, was arrested for driving while intoxicated (misdemeanor), aggravated DWI with a BAC 0.18% or higher and moving from a lane unsafely, following a traffic complaint on Chapman Road in the Town of Castile on January 28, 2017.

Scott drove his vehicle into the ditch on Chapman Road.

He failed sobriety tests and was arrested for DWI.

Scott was found to have a BAC of 0.22% and was released on appearance tickets, and he is to appear in the Castile Town Court on February 13, 2017.

Officer Greg Smith of the Perry Police Department assisted at the scene.

 

Kyle Meerboth, 22, of Sardina was arrested for driving while intoxicated (misdemeanor), aggravated DWI with a BAC of 0.18% or more, and failure to keep right following a traffic complaint on Griffith Road in the Town of Pike on January 21, 2017.

Meerboth failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He submitted to a breath test which showed his BAC to be 0.21%.

Meerboth was released on appearance tickets, and he is to appear in the Pike Town Court on February 7, 2017.

 

Jeremy Mack, 36, of Silver Springs, was picked up on an arrest warrant issued by Silver Springs Village Court for a violation of pre- trial release conditions.

Mack was arraigned in the Village of Silver Springs Court and committed to the Wyoming County Jail on no bail. He is due back in court on 0 April 3, 2017.
