BATAVIA/Inmate charged with assault after altercation in the jail

 

Davon S. St. John, 18, of Oak St., Batavia, is charged with assault 2nd, a class D felony, following a complaint of an alleged assault that occurred while St. John was confined in the Genesee County Jail.

On February 13, 2017, at about 8:54p.m., St. John was involve in a physical altercation that resulted in the victim suffering a fractured leg while in the lower north dorm area of the jail.

St. John was arraigned in Batavia City Court and bail was set at $10,000 cash or bond.

St. John is currently being held without bail after being charged with use of a child in a sexual performance, promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child, promoting a sexual performance by a child, endangering the welfare of a child and 2 counts of sexual misconduct.

St. John allegedly posted sexual images/video of a child under 17 years of age.

Davon S. St. John, 18, of 72 Oak St., Batavia was arrested on January 26, 2017 following an investigation into a domestic incident where he allegedly posted sexual images/video of a child under 17 years of age.

The images/video were posted to one of his social media accounts and publicized via a different one of his social media accounts.

St. John is charged with use of a child in a sexual performance,  promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child, promoting a sexual performance by a child, endangering the welfare of a child and 2 counts of sexual misconduct.

St. John was arraigned before Judge Balbick in City Court and held on without bail.
