Girls Baskeball/Notre Dame advances to semi-finals with win over HAC

The Notre Dame(3) girls basketball team advanced the to semi- final round in class D sectional play with a win over Harley Allendale Columbia(6) on Saturday afternoon with a 48-31 win at home.

The Irish pretty much ruled the game from the first whistle taking a 13-4 lead after the first quarter.

Margaret Sutherland got the team going early and finished the game with 12 points.

Callie McCulley picked up the pace in the second half for the Irish scoring 15 point on the day.

Hannah Bowen tacked on 9 points.

With about 5 minutes left in the 4th, the HAC Wolves scratched their way back to within 7 points. But HAC ran into some foul trouble, sending the Irish to the line and increasing their lead by double digits with about 2 minutes left in the game.

Adelaide Flood scored 14 points and Jalen Nowden had 9 points for the Wolves.

The Irish will now face Wheatland Chili (2) on Tuesday February 28th at Cal-Mum at 6p.m. in the semi-final round.
