WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Perry man charged with rape

Charles Bozzette, 34, of  S. Main St., Perry, is charged with rape 3rd after allegedly having sexual intercourse with a 16 year old female at a residence in the Village of Perry.

Bozzette was arraigned in the Village of Perry Court and remanded to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.

The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Perry Police Department and the Warsaw Police Department

 

The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Sierk Rd. in the Town of Bennington on March 15, 2017.

Deputy Previty arrived on location and spoke with the driver, John M. Chaplin, 35, of Attica who stated that he drove off the roadway to avoid a deer.

Further investigation showed Chaplin was driving while intoxicated. He was arrested and brought to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office for a breath test.

Chaplin is charged with the following Uniform Traffic Tickets: Moved from lane unsafely, DWI/misdemeanor and driving with a BAC of .08% or more/misdemeanor.

Chaplin was released to a sober third party and is to appear in the Town of Bennington Court on a later date.

 

A Scottsville man was arrested on a Wyoming County Family Court warrant early Wednesday morning after turning himself in at the Village of Leroy Police Department.

Wesley Goerss ,26, of Fairview Road, Scottsville, N.Y. ,was transported to Wyoming County where he was arraigned before Village of Warsaw Justice Blythe.

Goerss was jailed on $500 bail and is scheduled to re-appear  in Wyoming County Family Court at a later date.
