LEROY POLICE REPORT/Rochester man fails to stop for patrol car, strikes curb

Thomas J. Coleman, 55, of Alfred Drive, Rochester was arrested for aggravated DWI by the LeRoy Police Department on April 7, 2017 at 9:44 p.m. after he was allegedly observed passing a patrol car while traveling 47 mph in a 30 mph zone on West Main Street in the village.

As the patrol car attempted to stop Coleman, he allegedly failed to yield to the patrol and struck a curb prior to pulling over.

Coleman is charged with one count of aggravated DWI and having a BAC of .18% or more, one count of DWI and speed in zone.  Coleman was issued traffic tickets and released.  He will appear in LeRoy Town Court on May 8, 2017.

Nicholas T. Bowden, 21, of LeRoy was arrested by the LeRoy Police Department on April 10, 2017 after an investigation into the theft of a credit card and money.

It is alleged that on at least four occasions, Bowden unlawfully possessed a credit card belonging to a relative and then used the credit card to make unauthorized withdrawals in excess of $1,000 from a local ATM machine in the Village of LeRoy.

Bowden is charged with four counts of criminal possession of stolen property 4th for possessing the credit card and one count of grand larceny 4th for stealing money, all class E felonies.

Bowden was arraigned before the LeRoy Town Court and committed to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of bail.
