WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Accident shuts down Rt. 20A and leaves residents in the area without power

A motor vehicle accident on Rt. 20A in the Town of Warsaw shut down the road and left residents in the area without power for several hours on April 17, 2017

John W. Dill Jr., 52, of Grand Prairie, Texas, was operating a tractor trailer eastbound on Rt. 20A when he fell asleep at the wheel.

The tractor trailer left the roadway, going off the south side of road and sheering off a utility pole. The 2016 Volvo tractor did not suffer much damage and was able to drive from the scene, but the trailer he was pulling needed to be towed due to damage it sustained in the accident.

Dill was issued a ticket for failure to keep right and is to appear in the Town of Warsaw Court at a later date.

There were no injuries reported from the accident.

The Warsaw Fire Department assisted at the scene for several hours helping with traffic control.

 

 

A traffic stop on Folsomdale Road in the Town of Sheldon April 15, 2017 resulted in an arrest of Amanda R. Redden, 33, of Strykersville.

Redden was observed speeding while traveling south on Folsomdale Road. After a traffic stop was conducted, she was found to have a suspended license for failure to pay a fine out of the Village of Warsaw.

Redden was issued tickets for speeding and aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd and was arraigned in the Town of Sheldon Court. She was released on her own recognizance and is to appear in the Town of Sheldon Court at a later date.
