WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Perry woman charged after accident

The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a vehicle off the roadway into some trees on Rt. 20A in the Town of Perry on April 20, 2017.

Deputy A.J. Previty arrived on location and spoke to the driver, Karin L. Rice, 28, of Perry, who stated she went off the roadway to avoid a deer. Rice and her passenger were not injured in the crash.

Further investigation showed that Rice was driving while intoxicated.  She was transported to the Warsaw Police Department for a breath test and arrested for DWI.

Rice is charged with failure to keep right, DWI and driving with a BAC of .08% or more. She was released to a third party and will appear in the Town of Perry Court at a later date.
