On May 8, 2017, a Silver Springs man was arrested following a lengthy investigation of an incident that occurred in February 2016 in the Town of Gainesville involving a child less than eleven years old.
James A. Dell Jr., 26, of Silver Springs, N.Y. was charged with sexual abuse 1st and endangering the welfare of a child.
Dell was arraigned before Town of Gainesville Justice Proper and was committed to jail on $5,000 bail.
An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim and Dell is scheduled to appear in the Town of Gainesville Court at a later date.
The Wyoming County Department of Social Services Child Protective Unit assisted with the investigation.
