WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/ Salamanca man charged after traffic stop in Sheldon

Clayton W. Jimerson, 20, of Salamanca, was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 77 in the Town of Sheldon on May 24, 2017.

Jimerson was stopped after traveling 81mph in a marked 55mph zone. A roadside investigation revealed Jimerson was in possession of marijuana and high concentration cannabis.

Following field sobriety testing, Jimerson was arrested for DWI.

He was transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office where he supplied a breath sample of 0.08 BAC. Due to possible drug impairment as well, Jimerson underwent a drug influence evaluation by a certified drug recognition expert. Jimerson was determined to be impaired by the combination of alcohol and cannabis and unable to operate a vehicle safely.

He is charged with speeding, DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more, DWAI-drugs, DWAI-alcohol and Drugs, unlawful possession of marijuana, and criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th .

Jimerson was arraigned in the Town of Sheldon Court and remanded to the Wyoming County Jail on $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond. He will return to Town Court at a later date.

Assisting at the scene of the stop were the New York State Police-Warsaw.

 

Robert D. Alcott, 29, of Covington was arrested on Route 63 in the Town of Covington on May 28, 2017, following a traffic stop for an inspection violation.

During the stop, Alcott was found to have two suspensions on his driver’s license with one being for DWAI. A roadside search was conducted and Alcott was found to be in possession of paraphernalia commonly used for smoking crack cocaine.

Alcott is charged with uninspected motor vehicle, aggravated unlicensed operation in the third and second degree, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia 2nd.

Alcott was arraigned in the Town of Covington Court and released on his own recognizance with a later court date.

 

Michelle E. Malecki, 25, of North Java was arrested following a traffic stop on Perry Road in the Town of Sheldon June 3, 2017.

Malecki was stopped for an inspection violation and found to have a suspended license for failure to answer a summons.

Malecki was issued appearance tickets for uninspected motor vehicle and aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd returnable to the Town of Sheldon Court at a later date.

A valid driver was called to the scene to remove the vehicle.
