NYS POLICE REPORT/Warsaw/Gainesville man gives false name during traffic stop

On June 26, 2017, Troopers arrested Austin R. Hare, 22 of Gainesville, NY, for Criminal Impersonation 2nd.

The arrest of Hare was the result of an investigation into speeding motorcyclists on Saltvale Rd., in the Town of Middlebury on June 16, 2017.

Hare was stopped by Troopers for speeding (141 mph in a 55 mph zone) and during the encounter, Hare knowingly gave Troopers a false name of a close relative.

After further investigation by NYSP, Hare’s true identity was revealed. On June 26, 2017, Hare was located and taken into custody.

He was remanded to the Wyoming County Jail and directed to reappear at the Town of Middlebury court in July of 2017.

On June 28, 2017, the New York State Police and NYSDOCCS – NYS Parole, arrested Katy A. O’Brien, 32, of Warsaw, NY, for violating her parole sentence.

O’Brien was arrested without incident by NYSP and then transported to the Wyoming County Jail to await further parole action.

O’Brien was released to parole supervision on June 20, 2017 and is serving a sentence of parole for an attempted burglary 3rd conviction out of Wyoming County.
