BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Washington avenue man accused of choking a person and injecting a dog with an unknown substance

Eddie L Miles Jr., 45, of Washington Ave., Batavia, is charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and torturing or injuring animals after Miles Jr., allegedly put his arm around another person’s neck and obstructed their breathing.

Miles Jr. is also accused of  injecting an unknown purple liquid into a dog on Lewis Place on July 31, 2017.

Miles Jr. was arraigned in City Court and jailed on $5,000 cash bail and $10,000 bond.

He re-appeared in City Court on August 1, 2017.

 

Dalton C. Kelley, 19, of Chase Park, Batavia, is charged with harassment 2nd following an investigation into an incident where he allegedly punched and kicked another person multiple times on August 1, 2017.

Kelley was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on August 8, 2017.

 

Matthew B. Hardesty, 24, of  Martin Ave., Blasdell, NY,  was picked up by the Niagara Falls Air Force Security Police at the Niagara Falls Airbase on August 2, 2017 on an active warrant out of City Court from May 25, 2016 on a grand larceny 4th charge in an incident on Naramore Drive.

Hardesty was arraigned in City Court and held without bail.

 

Sean P. Carney, 26, of Hickory Hill Dr., Mayfield Village, OH., is charged with petit larceny after a shoplifting incident at Tops, on West Main street on August 2, 2017.

Carney allegedly stole several items including sea food.

He was arraigned in City Court and held on $1,000 cash and $2,500 bond bail.

He re-appeared in court on August 3, 2017.

 

Jeffrey T. Garrett, 45, of East Main street, Batavia, was arrested for disobeying a court mandate, a grand jury subpoena, on July 25, 2017.

Garrett was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court tomorrow at 1:00p.m.

 

 

Elois A. Peart, 31, of Wilder St., Rochester, is charged with failure to appear after being picked up by the Irondequoit Police on a City Court Bench warrant from March 23, 2017.

Peart posted police bail and was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in City Court on August 8, 2017.

 

Dexter L. Turner, 25, of Church St., Medina, was arrested for failing to appear after an appearance ticket was issued in July 6, 2017.

Turner was also arrested on a bench warrant out of City Court from June 8, 2017.

On failure to appear, Turner was jailed on $1,000 cash bail or bond and on the bench warrant Turner was jailed on $10,000 cash or bond bail.

He will re-appeared in Court on August 3, 2017.
