WYOMING COUNTY/Bergen man jailed without bail after violating an order of protection

 

The Attica Police Department initiated an investigation into a violation of an order of protection between Juan A. Roman, 39, of Bergen and a female victim on August 14, 2017 in Attica.

A complete stay away order of protection had been issued on July 21, 2017 by the City of Batavia Court from the previous charges of unlawful imprisonment 1st, assault 3rd and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation between the Roman and the female victim.

An arrest warrant was obtained and with the assistance of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, Roman was located and taken into custody without further incident.

Roman is charged with two counts of criminal contempt 1st,(telephone communication and prior conviction within 5 years)

He was then arraigned before Wyoming County Judge M. Mohun and was committed to Wyoming County Jail on no bail.  Roman is to re-appear in Attica Village Court on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 10:00 am
