STATE POLICE/Apparent overdose death results in two arrests and endangerment charges for Covington couple


 

On September 11, 2017, the New York State Police in Warsaw arrested Donald F. Reinhart, 38, and Amanda S. Reinhart, 34, both of Wyoming, NY, for Endangering the Welfare of a Child (4 counts) and Criminal Nuisance 2nd, both Misdemeanors.

On September 7, 2017 at 5:23a.m.,  Troopers were dispatched by Wyoming County 911 to Wyoming Road, Town of Covington for an unresponsive adult male subject.

An investigation at the scene revealed one adult male subject deceased from an apparent drug overdose and another adult male suffering from an apparent drug overdose who was immediately transported to the Wyoming County Community Hospital for treatment.

Both Donald and Amanda were arrested without incident at State Police Warsaw, processed and released with appearance tickets to appear at the Town of Covington Court later in September 2017.

An active investigation is continuing by the New York State Police and the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office into the three drug overdoses and the composition of the illegal drug they all consumed.

The New York State Police then contacted the Wyoming County Child Protective Services, Animal Control and Building and Codes.
