High School Football/Alexander keeps rolling with a big win over rival Attica

The Alexander Trojans remain undefeated at 4-0 with a 20-3 win over rival Attica on Friday night.

Chris McClinic had three touchdowns and the Trojan defense kept Attica to one field goal.

In the opening quarter, the two teams were in a defensive deadlock with a 0-0 score.

Into the 2nd quarter, Attica was threatening to score and was within 5 yards of the end zone.
The Trojan defense came up big and made a goal line stance preventing a touchdown when Mike Donohue tried to punch his way in.

After a penalty, the Blue Devils decided to go for a 23 yard field goal to make it 3-0.

The Trojans responded with a touchdown on the very next series. Chris McClinic scored his first of the night with a great second effort at the goal line to make it 6-3 in the second quarter.

With 15 seconds remaining in the half, the Trojans were threatening again, Terez Smith took off down the line but was tripped up by Parker Wildey to prevent the score.

It was 6-3 at the half.

The second half was all Alexander.

At 3:47 of the 3rd quarter, McClinic pushed through the Attica defense to make it 12-3. Job Smith caught a pass on the two point conversion and it was 14-3.

In the 4th quarter, McClinic scored his third touchdown on a 47 yard run that made it 20-3.

The Trojans 4-0 will move on to play Canisteo-Greenwood(4-0) next week.

Attica(2-2) will face Livonia.
