BATAVIA POLICE REPORT/Pot plant found growing on the roof after police respond to burning garbage complaint

The City of Batavia Police responded to a residence on Ross street on October 8, 2017 after receiving a report of a neighbor that was burning garbage.

While police were explaining the burning garbage violation to the resident, a marijuana plant was observed growing on the roof of the residence.

Police charged  Jacob J. Camerera, 26, of Ross St., Batavia, with unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawfully growing of cannabis as he was illegally growing marijuana without a license.

Camerera was issued an appearance ticket and released. He will appear in City Court at a later date.

 

Woodrow C. Horseman, 41, of Porter Ave., Batavia, is charged with harassment 2nd and criminal mischief 4th after he allegedly pushed another person against a wall and then threw the person’s phone into the road while they were trying to call police.

The incident occurred on Ellicott street on October 5, 2017.

Horseman was arraigned in City Court and jailed in lieu of $1,000 cash or bond bail.

He is due back in court on October 12, 2017.

 

Jeffrey D. Freeman, 37, of S. Spruce St., Batavia, is charged with harassment 2nd after a domestic incident on October 4, 2017 on S. Spruce street .

Freeman was processed and released and will appear in City Court later today.
