A Darien man involved in a one vehicle accident today just before noon on Bowen road in Alexander, has been charged with operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs and driving to the left of pavement markings in a no passing zone.
Devon M. Lennon, 22, of Church Rd., Darien, told deputies he was traveling east on Bowen road when he says he lowered his head to light a cigarette, causing the vehicle to exit the left shoulder of the road.
The 2001 Toyota 4 door sedan then struck a mailbox and then overturned down a hill, coming to rest on it’s roof.
Lennon was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in Alexander Town Court on January 2, 2018 at 5:00p.m.
