ATTICA POLICE REPORT/Semi-truck driver charged after allegedly driving with a BAC of more than 5 times the legal limit

On December 3, 2017 at approximately 7:00p.m. , Officer Zufall of the Attica Police Department observed a semi-truck driving erratically on Market Street in the Village of Attica.

After further investigation, Officer Zufall found the vehicle operator, Robert Cummings, 49, of Exchange St., Attica, to have a BAC of .21%, which is more than 5 times the legal limit for a commercial driver.

Robert Cummings was arrested and charged with no turn signal, moving from a lane unsafely, DWI, driving with a BAC over .08%. driving while intoxicated with a commercial vehicle, and aggravated DWI with a BAC over .18%.

Cummings is to appear in the Village of Attica Court on January 8, 2018 to answer his charges.
