GENESEE COUNTY/Two women charged with robbery and burglary after forcing their way into residence in Alexander

On December 26, 2017, at around 5:30 p.m., the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office received a report of two subjects who had allegedly entered the home of an acquaintance in the Town of Alexander after allegedly forcing their way into the residence.

Once inside, the two subjects made threatening statements to the occupants and then physically engaged a person, damaged property, and stole property belonging to the resident. They also prevented a person from calling 9-1-1 by taking their cell phone. The incident occurred in front of a 12 year old child.

After an investigation, Deputies arrested Amber Holland, 35, of  Cambridge Square, Buffalo, and Jennifer Martino, 42, of Pearl street, Batavia.

Both Holland and Martino are charged with robbery 2nd, burglary 2nd, criminal mischief 3rd, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal mischief 4th.

Holland and Martino were located by deputies in a motor vehicle which was being operated by Holland in the City of Batavia.

Holland was also charged with DWI, failure to submit to a breath test and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Holland and Martino were arraigned in the Alexander Court and were jailed on $10,000 cash and $20,000 bond bail.

Holland was also arraigned in City Court in the DWI charge and further bail was set at $2,500 cash/bond.

Deputies say all subjects involved were known to each other and no significant injuries were reported in the incident.

The incident was investigated by Deputy Lute, Deputy Krzemein and Inv. Graff.
