ORLEANS COUNTY/Albion man sentenced for receipt of child pornography

BUFFALO, N.Y. – U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced today that
Christopher Ridder, 46, of Albion, NY, who was convicted of receipt of child pornography,
was sentenced to 132 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephanie Lamarque, who is handling the case, stated that
in January 2017, after exchanging messages with an undercover law enforcement agent,
the defendant was found in possession of over 600 images of child pornography, some
depicting prepubescent minors and some depicting violent conduct.

The complaint is the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of
Investigation, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Adam S. Cohen and the
Medina Police Department, under the direction of Chief Chad Kenward.
