WYOMING COUNTY/Attica woman held on $100,000 bail, facing sex abuse charges involving a child

On Sunday, January 14, 2018, the Attica Police Department received a complaint of an individual receiving a video from the suspect depicting a sexual act by a child to an adult, the victim was 4 years old.

Through an intensive investigation by Officers Zufall and Officer Kuhn and the assistance of Wyoming County Department of Social Services/Child Protective, Victoria L. Young, 23, of East Avenue, Attica, was charged with sexual abuse 1st, a class D felony, use of child less than 17 for sexual performance, a class C felony and endangering the welfare of child, an A misdemeanor .

Members of the Attica Police Department executed a search warrant at Young’s address where several items of evidence were collected with the assistance of the New York State Police Computer Crime Unit.

The child has been place in the custody of relatives.

Young was arraigned before Justice Dale Robinson of the Town of Attica Court. Young was committed to the Wyoming County Jail on $100,000.00 cash bail, and a complete stay away order of protection was issued barring any contact with the juvenile victim.

Young and the victim are related.

Victoria L. Young will return to Attica Village Court on February 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. The investigation is continuing with additional charges pending the results of a forensic examination of the evidence.
