GENESEE COUNTY/ Social Services investigation leads to drug arrest on Walnut street in Batavia

On February 8, 2018, the Genesee County Drug Task Force searched a residence on Walnut street after an investigation that was initiated by the Genesee County Department of Social Services.

After searching the residence, the Drug Task Force arrested Jaylinn M. Oneil, 27, of Walnut street and charged her with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, criminally using drug paraphernalia 2nd, criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument and endangering the welfare of a child, all class A misdemeanors.

Task Force members say Oneil was allegedly found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine, drug packaging materials and hypodermic needles.

Oneil was arraigned in City Court by Judge Robert Balbick and released under the supervision of Genesee Justice.

Task Force members were assisted by Batavia Police Officers, Genesee County DSS and the Genesee County District Attorney’s Office.

  1. Why do they keep letting her go?!? Her poor kid. She s never gonna stop using, and that child just keeps being passed from one addict to another. MAKE her spend time in jail, MAKE her get clean. These stupid BS slaps on the wrist mean nothing, and is going to end with her dead or worse, her child dying. I love her family to death but there comes a time where someone’s gotta think about the poor child involved, and that family has way too many addicts to be healthy for a child.
