PERRY POLICE REPORT/17 year old charged with DWI

On February 9, 2018, at about 4:30a.m., Officers performed a routine traffic stop in the Village of Perry for an equipment violation, the location of the traffic stop was not provided.

Upon stopping the vehicle, it was found that the driver, a 17 year old male, of Silver Springs, NY, was allegedly operating a motor vehicle under impairment. After an investigation was conducted, it was found that the teen was intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle without a license.

He was placed under arrest for DWI and was arraigned in Perry Village Court in front of Honorable Miller.

He was sent to the Wyoming County Jail on $2,000 cash, and $2,000 bond bail.

The teen was also ticketed for an inadequate muffler, plate obstruction, unlicensed operator and driving while intoxicated with a BAC .08% or higher. He will return to court on March 13, 2018 at 01:00p.m. in Perry Village Court.
