BATAVIA/Holley woman forges mother’s name in attempt to purchase vehicle

Linda C. Feeley, 59, of Hulberton Rd., Holley, is charged with grand larceny 3rd, identity theft 1st, forgery 1st (2 counts), forgery 2nd (4 counts), conspiracy 4th (2 counts), all felonies, and conspiracy 5th (4 counts), a misdemeanor, after she allegedly forged her mother’s name on documentation to purchase a vehicle on March 28, 2017 at 4300 Veteran’s Memorial Drive.

Feeley’s boyfriend, David Gurgir, 58, of Hulburton Rd., Holley, allegedly completed the paperwork, knowing that the forgery was occurring. Gurgir was arrested on January 25, 2018 and charged with  two counts of conspiracy 4th, a felony, and four counts of conspiracy 5th, a misdemeanor. He was additionally charged with grand larceny 3rd, a felony.

The car salesman, Eric Holliday, allegedly facilitated the transaction.

Feeley was arraigned in the Town of Batavia Court by Justice Williams on February 13, 2018. She was issued an order of protection and released on her own recognizance.

Feeley will re-appear in court on March 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.

The incident was investigated by Inv. Christopher Parker with assistance from Det. John Condidorio and other members of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.
