In a joint effort between the LeRoy Police Department, Genesee County Sheriff’s Office and City of Batavia Police Department, a wanted fugitive who has been hiding from the law for months has been arrested.
Oliver Thomas, 25, who was wanted in connection with an alleged violent burglary and assault in the City of Batavia in October of 2016 on Central avenue and also for allegedly failing to change his address in relation to the NYS Sex Offender Act, was located today at 16 Pleasant Street in LeRoy.
The arrest came after a tip was received that Thomas was currently located at the LeRoy address.
Thomas was taken into custody without incident.
In 2009, Thomas was convicted of rape 3rd in an incident involving a 15 year old female.
