Two people in a Mercury sedan suffered serious injuries after they apparently failed to yield the right of way to a tractor trailer on Rt. 77 Thursday morning about 9:30.
Law enforcement on scene says the car was heading south on Rt. 77 and drove under the tractor trailer as it was turning onto Rt. 77 from Lewiston road.
After losing its roof, the car then struck a building and then a parked car before it came to rest on Lewiston road.
Both people in the car were transported by Mercy Flight with serious injuries.
One person was transported to ECMC and the other to Strong Hospital. Their condition at this hour is unknown, but State Police say one person was more seriously injured than the other.
The two occupants of the parked car were not injured and the truck driver is okay.
State Police continue to investigate the accident and will have more information at a later time.
