ON MARCH 29, 2017, AFTER AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE SALE AND DISTRIBUTION OF HEROIN AND CRACK COCAINE FROM THE CITY OF ROCHESTER TO VILLAGE OF ALBION, THE ORLEANS COUNTY MAJOR FELONY CRIME TASK FORCE ALONG WITH ALBION POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE ALBION POLICE K9 UNIT, EXECUTED A SEARCH WARRANT ON A VEHICLE AND THE OCCUPANTS ON EAST STATE STREET IN THE VILLAGE OF ALBION AND SEIZED A QUANTITY OF HEROIN AND CRACK COCAINE PACKAGED FOR SALE.
VICTOR T. SIMMONS , 46, OF 1399 NORTH ST., ROCHESTER, IS CHARGED WITH:
5 COUNTS OF CRIMINAL SALE OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IN THE THIRD DEGREE. (CLASS B FELONIES).
7 COUNTS OF CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IN THE THIRD DEGREE. (CLASS B FELONIES).
A SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD MALE FROM ROCHESTER WAS ALSO ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH:
2 COUNTS OF CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE IN THE THIRD DEGREE. (CLASS B FELONIES).
BOTH WERE ARRAIGNED IN THE TOWN OF ALBION JUSTICE COURT, BY THE HON. JOSEPH FULLER.
VICTOR T. SIMMONS WAS COMMITTED TO THE ORLEANS COUNTY JAIL WITHOUT BAIL DUE TO HIS PREVIOUS CRIMINAL HISTORY.
THE SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD MALE WAS COMMITTED TO THE ORLEANS COUNTY JAIL ON $20,000.00 BAIL OR $40,000.00 BOND, AND IS TO RETURN TO THE TOWN OF ALBION JUSTICE COURT ON APRIL 3, 2017 AT 10:00 A.M.
VICTOR T. SIMMONS IS TO RETURN TO THE TOWN OF ALBION JUSTICE COURT ON APRIL 19, 2017 AT 9:00 A.M.
FURTHER ARRESTS AND CHARGES ARE PENDING IN THIS CASE.
