The Perry Police Department reports the arrest of a Dansville woman for driving while ability impaired by drugs.
On April 3, 2017, Officer Timothy Bryant and Officer Bryant Ferry received a call of a female passed out in a vehicle at the Rite Aid parking lot on North center street.
The officers responded and were able to wake the female driver Ashley King, no age or address provided. The officers became suspicious of possible drug activity and began a road side investigation. A series of field sobriety tests were administered.
King was charged with DWAI/Drugs and was then transported to the Perry Police Department where Deputy Aaron Chase of the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, a Certified Drug Recognition Expert, performed an evaluation. It was the expert opinion of Deputy Chase that King was under the influence of a central nervous system depressants, central nervous system stimulants and Narcotic Analgesic.
King was additionally charged with aggravated unlicensed operator 1st, a class E felony, unlicensed operator and driving while ability impaired by drugs.
King was arraigned in front of Perry Justice Judge Miller and remanded to the Wyoming county jail in lieu of $1000.00 cash bail.
