A Brockport woman has been charged after allegedly providing false written information to investigators after a car/pedestrian accident on Rt. 33 in Stafford on March 19, 2017.
Katelyn M. Brown, 23, of Falling Leaf Trail, Brockport, is charged with offering a false instrument for filing 1st after she allegedly provided false information in a written statement concerning the involvement of a silver SUV in the accident.
Brown reported a silver SUV had been traveling in front of her and had possibly struck the pedestrian before leaving the scene.
Investigators alleged that there was no silver SUV traveling in front of Brown’s vehicle at the time of the accident.
Previously, Brown was issued tickets for aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd, failure to use due care and caution for a pedestrian and moving from a lane unsafely.
The pedestrian was thrown into a ditch on Rt. 33 and suffered serious injuries after being struck.
Brown was arraigned on all charges in the Stafford Town Court on April 13, 2017.
She was released on recognizance.
Brown will return to Stafford Town Court on May 11, 2017 at 6:00p.m.
