GENESEE COUNTY/ Wyoming woman facing assault charge after leaving disabled person at scene of accident in Stafford

Nicole K. Sullivan, 31, of N. Main St., Wyoming, is charged with assault 2nd, endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person, falsely reporting an incident and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries after a motor vehicle accident on Fargo road in Stafford on June 10, 2016.

An investigation into the accident led to allegations that Sullivan was the operator of the vehicle at the time of the accident and that she initially reported false information stating that the operator of the vehicle had left the scene which resulted in an extensive search of the area by emergency crews.

A passenger in the vehicle sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. Sullivan is accused of failing to make a report of the accident to police as soon as she was physically able to do so and she failed to make a timely notification of the need for medical assistance for the injured passenger.

Sullivan is also charged with driving to the left of pavement markings, unlicensed operator, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd, failure to notify DMV of change of address, no seat belt and unregistered motor vehicle.

In March, Sullivan, who was serving jail time in the Wyoming County Jail for a probation violation, was allegedly found with crushed-up medication and paraphernalia used to inhale it.

She was charged with second-degree promoting prison contraband and  and then jailed in lieu of $500 bail.

Sullivan was arraigned in the Town of Stafford Court on April 13, 2017 and released on her own recognizance. She will return to court on May 11, 2017.

Sullivan is currently being held in the Wyoming County Jail.
