ALEXANDER
A single vehicle accident on Dodgeson road near Beaver road about 5:45p.m. sent three people to Strong Hospital in Rochester.
The car was headed east on Dodgeson road and left the roadway striking a mailbox, a tree and then flipped over and rolled down an embankment into a creek according to State Police.
State Police say all occupants were in their 20’s from the Canandaigua area. The front seat passenger, a female, suffered a head injury according to fire officials on scene and was transported to Strong Hospital by Mercy Flight. A male in the rear of the vehicle, who was not wearing a seatbelt, suffered minor injuries along with the male driver. They were also sent to Strong Hospital by ground ambulance.
State Police continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
OAKFIELD
A single vehicle accident on Maltby road near North Pearl street sent two teens to area hospitals about 6:00p.m.
A 16 year old passenger in the vehicle was seriously injured and transported by Mercy Flight to ECMC. The 17 year old driver was transported to Strong Hospital by ground ambulance with minor injuries according to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office Crash Management team was requested to this scene and the cause of the accident is still being investigated.
PAVILION
A little before 7:00p.m., Pavilion Fire and a Mercy medic ambulance along with Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Rt. 20 and Perry road for a car that ran the stop sign and struck the rear of a passing tractor trailer that was headed south on Rt. 20.
One person from the car was transported to an area hospital with injuries and a passenger in the car was not injured.
The truck driver was not injured.
The initial call came in as a head on crash with a person trapped and a Mercy Flight helicopter was put on ground standby in Olean as all the other Mercy Flight helicopters in the area were being used at the previous accidents.
The Sheriff’s office is investigating this accident.
