30 year old Gerardo Quiros has been out on $200,000 bail since an April 29, 2017 incident where he is accused of holding a woman against her will in a Ridge Road home in the Town of Ridgeway.
In the April incident, Quiros allegedly committed acts of violence against a female acquaintance and locked her in the bathroom, smashing her cell phone when she attempted to call 9-1-1.
When law enforcement arrived on scene, Quiros took off resulting in an hours long manhunt and a shelter in place in the Town Of Ridgeway.
Quiros was eventually found in Niagara County a few days later and taken into custody.
Quiros is facing a list of charges in the incident. He is accused of holding the woman against her will and repeatedly raping her over a 2 month period. He is also charged with strangulation 2nd, criminal mischief 3rd, unlawful imprisonment 2nd, harassment 2nd, criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th and criminally using drug paraphernalia 2nd.
On August 17, 2017, State Police initiated a traffic stop on Lyndonville road and the vehicle pulled into a driveway and operator left the scene.
After an investigation, it was determined that Gerardo Quiros, of Medina, was the operator of the vehicle. He turned himself in to troopers and was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd, speeding and other vehicle and traffic violations.
Then on August 21, 2017, Quiros was charged with criminal contempt for allegedly contacting the victim by telephone. He was arrested and jailed on $25,000 bail.
In early September he made bail and appeared in Orleans County Court on September 11, 2017 for a pre-trial conference to discuss his options in a plea deal. The plea deal could send Quiros to prison and he could face a 7-15 year sentence.
Quiros will next appear in Orleans County Court on September 25th at 2:00 p.m. for a pre-trial conference.
