On January 6, 2018, the New York State Police, Warsaw and NYS Parole, arrested Cory M. Goodenow, 23, of the East Hill Motel, Warsaw, for assault 2nd (Class D Felony), aggravated family offense (Class E Felony), menacing 2nd – weapon, criminal possession of a weapon 4th and criminal obstruction of breathing (All Class A Misdemeanors) pursuant to his vicious attacks on a 19 year old female occurring on Warsaw Boulevard, Silver Springs on January 5, 2018.
Goodenow was also charged with a violation of his parole sentence. Goodenow is on parole for his September 16, 2016 plea and conviction in Wyoming County Court to attempted rape 2nd and was released from incarceration by NYSDOCCS back to the community on December 21, 2017.
On January 5, 2018, Goodenow subjected his victim to multiple domestic physical assaults and a weapon assault (wooden bat) within her residence.
Goodenow was arrested and processed without incident and was then arraigned in the Town of Warsaw Court in front of Justice Ronald Errington who remanded him to Wyoming County Jail without bail. Goodenow is to re-appear in the Village of Silver Springs court at a later date.
Goodenow will also face a parole revocation hearing at a later date.
