Weather conditions quickly deteriorated driving from Batavia to Attica on Thursday evening. Roads were difficult to navigate with heavy wet snow coming down, low visibility and the temperature hovering at 32 degrees.
From 6:00p.m. on Thursday night, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office was very busy on Rt. 20A with vehicles and tractor trailers getting stuck on Buffalo Hill. There were also vehicles off the road and several collisions.
In Genesee County, Rt. 63 in Pavilion was backed up with tractor trailers stuck on the hill. The northbound lane was briefly shut down.
On Rt. 77 a tractor trailer jack knife has blocked the northbound lane.
The Winter Storm Warning is in effect until Friday at 1:00p.m
