BATAVIA/Marchese crowned Mr. Batavia 2018

Joe Marchese has been crowned Mr. Batavia 2018 after a 2-1/2 hour competition at Batavia High School on Friday night.

The event raised just over $4,400 this year. Over the past 6 years, the Mr. Batavia event has raised about $20,000 total for charities.

Marchese was representing Crossroad House in the competition, they will receive 50% of the funds raised at this year’s event. Marchese also won a $50 Amazon Gift card.

Coming in second was Anand Patel, who represented Golisano’s Children’s Hospital.

Cameron Hardy took third place, representing Genesee Cancer Assistance.

The second and third place winners will each receive a $25 Amazon gift card and both won 25% of the profits raised for their charity.
