GCC held its 50th Commencement in the new Call Arena on Sunday afternoon.
About 225 students walked across the stage after listening to Dr. Kristina M. Johnson, the Chancellor of the State University of New York, give the keynote address.
There were 44 international students along with 10 students from area high schools who completed their GCC degree requirements at the same time as their high school diplomas. The ten students participated in the College’s STEM Program with the Accelerated College Enrollment Office which started in 2012 when the students were in 7th grade.
For the school year, just under 1,000 students have graduated from GCC.
