PERRY POLICE REPORT/Brockport man charged in traffic stop

On May 28, 2018, at 9:01p.m., Officer Harding was operating stationary radar on South Main Street in the Village of Perry, when a vehicle was observed traveling northbound into the village at 46 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Officer Harding initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and the driver was identified as Kyle Newman, 31, of Brockport.

A data check on Newman’s license showed that his license was revoked on January 8, 2017 after being convicted of a DWI in 2016. Newman was also restricted to operating a motor vehicle with only an interlock device, which Newman did not have.

Newman is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd and operating a motor vehicle without an interlock device and was also ticketed for speed in zone and unlicensed operator.

He is due to appear in the Village of Perry Court on August 7, 2018, at 1:00 pm.

 

 

On May 26, 2018, in the Village of Perry, Officers conducted a routine traffic stop for an equipment violation.

Upon stopping the vehicle it was found that the driver Joseph Ebersole, no age provided, of Warsaw, was operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver license.

Ebersole was placed under arrest on May 27, 2018 in the Village of Perry.

Along with being ticketed for the equipment violation, and aggravated unlicensed operator, Ebersole was ticketed for consuming alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle. He was released on his own recognizance and will return to Perry Village Court on June 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. to answer the charges.
