WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/LeRoy man charged after reckless driving complaint

David W. Weadon ,31, of LeRoy, was arrested following a reckless driving complaint which originated in the Town of Warsaw on June 1, 2018.

Weadon was reported by witnesses as he was passing in no passing zones, following too closely, swerving from side to side on the roadway, and driving at extreme speeds. Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the complaint and intercepted Weadon’s vehicle as it was traveling northbound on Route 19 in the Town of Covington.

Weadon’s vehicle was observed as it was still driving in the same aggressive manner as reported. Weadon was pulled over on Route 19 in the Town of Pavilion. He was found to be drinking an alcoholic beverage while driving. A subsequent vehicle search also found Weadon to be in possession of marijuana and an unlawful billy club. Weadon failed field sobriety testing, and he was then taken into custody.

Following a drug influence evaluation at the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office, Weadon was found to be impaired by multiple categories of drugs. He is charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Driving While Ability Impaired by the Combined Influence of Drugs, reckless driving, criminal possession of a weapon 4th, unlawful possession of marijuana, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, following too closely, failure to keep right, unsecured license plate, and unlawful stickers on windshield.

Weadon is scheduled to answer the charges in the Town of Covington Court on June 25, 2018.
