The Kiwanis Independence Day 5K Race at Centennial Park kicked off the July 4th Picnic in the Park for 2018.
Organizers say they had a little over 180 runners/walkers who participated in the race this year.
William Buckenmeyer was the first to cross the finish line at 18:15, Thomas Ognibene was second at 18:55. The first female to cross the line was Rachel Neilans at 24:13.
The Picnic in the Park is going on all day at Centennial Park.
