Kendall High School participated in an active shooter training drill with emergency responders and law enforcement on Saturday morning at the high school.
This is the first time the school has participated in an active shooter drill.
Superintendent Julie Christensen says the exercise has been in the planning stages for about a year.
The drill was recorded and observed by school officials and emergency preparedness observers who will assess the exercise to make sure all aspects of an active shooter situation are addressed in case of an actual incident.
