At approximately 1:30a.m. on Thursday October 4, 2018, the Perry Police Department along with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office responded to 10 North Center Street for a domestic incident in progress.
Officers on scene determined that during the family dispute, Christopher E. McCrea Sr., 46, of Perry, displayed a knife in a threatening manner towards another individual. Officers subsequently arrested McCrea. One officer was injured during an altercation that ensued.
The injured officer was admitted to the Wyoming County Community Hospital emergency room and later released with minor injuries.
McCrea was arraigned in Warsaw Village Court on the charges of menacing 2nd, criminal possession of a weapon 3rd, reckless endangerment, assault 2nd on a police officer and obstruction of governmental administration 2nd.
McCrea was remanded to Wyoming County Jail on no bail. He will return to Perry Village Court on October 30, 2018 at 1:00p.m.
