Officer Greg Smith was dispatched to the Perry Police Department Parking lot for a property damage accident on October 11, 2018. An investigation revealed that Patricia Privitera, 41, of Perry was backing her vehicle up in the police department parking lot, and her foot allegedly slipped off the brake causing her vehicle to collide with another officer’s personal vehicle that was parked there.
The collision then pushed the officer’s personal vehicle into the Harding Plumbing and Heating Business at 34 North Main Street causing minor damage to a loading dock. Further investigation revealed that Privitera was operating with a suspended driver’s license. Privitera is charged with unsafe backing, uninspected motor vehicle and aggravated unlicensed 3rd.
Privitera is scheduled to appear in Perry Village Court at a later date
