The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Robert Abbott Jr., 29, of Silver Springs, after an investigation of an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and subsequent accident in the parking lot of a business located at 4260 Rt. 19 in the Town of Gainesville on November 10, 2018.
The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office was called to the establishment on Route 19 after a subject stole a vehicle, backed it into another vehicle, and then took off on foot after being confronted by an uninvolved patron.
During the investigation, Abbott admitted to driving the vehicle and was arrested by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office on November 30, 2018 and charged with grand larceny and 3 counts of criminal mischief for damaging 3 motor vehicles during the incident.
Abbott will appear in the Town of Gainesville Court on December 3, 2018 to answer the charges.
Deputy Hope responded to Eagle Road in the Town of Eagle for a report of a one car motor vehicle accident where a vehicle had collided with a utility pole on November 25, 2018. Following an investigation, the driver, Jennifer Dubel, 46, of Springville, was found to be intoxicated with a BAC over the legal limit.
Dubel is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC 0.08% or more and operating a motor vehicle while using a cellular device.
Dubel was arraigned in Eagle Town Court and released on her own recognizance. She is to re-appear in court on December 10, 2018.
Wyoming County Dispatchers received a call of a motor vehicle accident on Rt. 19A in the Town of Genesee Falls on December 2, 2018 at 2:47a.m..
Deputy A.J. Previty arrived on location to find an overturned pickup truck in the ditch with three people out of the vehicle.
The driver of the pickup, Kameran L. Olcott, 20 of Belfast, NY, was found to have no injuries.
Two passengers in the vehicle needed medical assistance. Nunda Fire Department and Pike Ambulance were dispatched to the scene. Pike Ambulance transported the two passengers to WCCH where they were treated and later released.
Further investigation showed Olcott was allegedly driving while intoxicated. Olcott was arrested and transported to Warsaw Police Department for a breath test. Olcott also had a suspended drivers license out of the State of New York.
He is charged with moving from a lane unsafely, aggravated unlicensed operator 3rd and driving with a BAC of .08% or more.
Olcott was arraigned in the Town of Genesee Falls Court and held on $500.00 cash/$1,000 bond. He was transported to the Wyoming County Jail for commitment and is to appear in the Town of Genesee Falls Court at a later date.
Two subjects were arrested following a traffic stop on Route 436 in the Town of Genesee Falls on November 30, 2018.
Cody A. Ray, 26, of Nunda, was the driver of a vehicle stopped for failing to signal for a turn, and Karl C. Delahooke, 26, of Nunda, was one of the vehicle’s passengers. Delahooke was found in possession of an amount of marihuana, issued an appearance ticket and released.
Ray failed roadside field sobriety testing, and he was taken into custody for driving while ability impaired by drugs. He was taken to Arcade Police Department where a Drug Recognition Expert determined Ray was impaired by cannabis. Ray is charged with DWAI/ drugs and no signal.
Both Ray and Delahooke are scheduled to appear in the Town of Genesee Falls Court on December 12, 2018 to answer the charges.
