Moms and Munchkins Club gives moms and grandmas time together and kids time to socialize and play together.
The Club has a monthly meeting, typically the first week of the month. There are weekly playgroups from 10-1p.m., and it’s come when you can, leave when you need to, lunch is served around 11:30a.m.. There is also a monthly/every other month field trip scheduled.
The club was created to offer support to all mothers. Club creator Erin Ferguson says it is needed in the area because moms are always so busy that they forget to relax.
“We come together as one, enjoy some juice and lunch and talk as moms together about anything, while our kids play, learn and socialize,” says Ferguson.
“During playgroups we do crafts, freeplay with toys, and sometimes we have musical instruments and sing songs. Any mom can join with kids of all ages. Even grandmas can join, it’s for moms of all ages.”
This month the group is having an open meeting for anyone interested in joining the Moms and Munchkins Club. The meeting is next Friday, December 21st at 10 a.m.
The open meeting will be held at the First United Methodist Church located at 8221 Lewiston Road Batavia. The Club is not affiliated with the church, but they are kind enough to provide the Club with the space.
There are no membership fees or dues involved in the rebranded club which originally formed this past spring as an international group called Moms Club.
