BATAVIA/Man charged with attempted murder in Ellicott street assault

The Batavia Police Department is actively investigating the assault at 337 Ellicott St.

Today, the Batavia Police arrested Rashawn L. GOSIER for Assault 1st and Attempted Murder. GOSIER was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail.

The victim was located and interviewed after they were treated and released from an area hospital. The victim was stabbed by a stabbing instrument. GOSIER and the victim knew each other through a mutual acquaintance.
