A Pavilion Fire Police officer noticed a working garage fire at 10048 Pavilion Center road about 11:00a.m. on Friday morning and called it in to dispatchers.
Pavilion Fire responded with a second alarm response with fire companies from Genesee, Wyoming and Livingston counties.
When crews arrived on scene, the structure was fully involved and firefighters battled the blaze in a defensive mode.
The auto restoration shop had several vehicles inside, including a Packard, at the time of the fire along with vehicle parts according to a friend of the owner.
The owner was able to remove several other vehicles before the entire structure was damaged.
Pavilion Fire Chief Dewey Murrock says the building is a total loss and they are looking at fuel oil burner issue as a possible cause.
No one was injured in the blaze.
