Nicole Sullivan, 32, pleaded guilty to insurance fraud 3rd, a class D felony, on December 20, 2018 in Wyoming County Court after admitting to lying to an insurance company and collecting $25,000 in a claim.
Sullivan was involved in a one car accident on Fargo road in the Town of Stafford in Genesee County on June 10, 2016.
An investigation into the accident found that Sullivan was the operator of the vehicle at the time of the accident and that she initially reported false information stating that the operator of the vehicle had left the scene which resulted in an extensive search of the area by emergency crews.
A passenger in the vehicle sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. Sullivan is accused of failing to make a report of the accident to police as soon as she was physically able to do so and she failed to make a timely notification of the need for medical assistance for the injured passenger.
Sullivan will be sentenced to 1 2/3-5 years in state prison on the insurance fraud charge which will run concurrent to her current term. She will also pay $25,000 in restitution.
Sullivan is serving a 16 month to four year term in state prison on the charge of attempted assault 2nd in the a crash in Stafford.
